30 New Motorcylces Among the Prizes In Grab PH’s Raffle For Vaccinated Partners

On Tuesday, the prominent ride-hailing and delivery app Grab PH announced its plan to give freebies and hold a raffle in an effort to significantly boost the vaccination of its partner drivers and delivery riders.

₱200-grocery vouchers are in store for the first 4,000 drivers and 4,000 riders once they get their first shot of the vaccine. An additional ₱800 will be offered after completing their second dose. Drivers and riders who receive a single-shot vaccine will be given the whole ₱1,000.

The raffle will only be implemented once the app’s driver and rider community reach certain vaccination levels. At 50%, 100 partners will get one year supply of fuel; At 70%, 70 laptops will be raffled off; and at 100% 30 people will have the chance to win Yamaha Aerox motorcycles.

To ensure the welfare of its riders and drivers, Grab also affirmed that insurance coverage will be provided if adverse side effects arise from the vaccines. It has also made plans to educate the community on the benefits of vaccination.

“Our driver- and delivery-partners provide essential services and everyday support to many of our kababayans (countrymen), and we believe that getting them vaccinated is a key step towards helping our broader communities and economy gradually recover from the impacts of COVID-19,” explained Grace Vera Cruz, Head of Grab Philippines.

“Through our Vacc To Normal campaign, we are reinforcing our steadfast commitment to the well-being of our driver- and delivery-partners, and further motivate many Filipinos to get vaccinated,” added Vera Cruz.

Grab drivers and delivery riders are considered as part of the A4 group under the government’s vaccination framework. Grab has also said that it has procured vaccine doses for partners who wouldn’t be able to get inoculated through the national vaccine rollout.
