BDO Unibank plans on giving financial funding to support water projects of Razon Group’s Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project and San Miguel Corporation’s Luzon Clean Water Development Corporation (LCWDC).

BDO released a statement affirming its “unwavering support to these initiatives complement the government’s push in accelerating economic growth” and confirms its sustainability commitment.

LCWDC, a concessionaire of MWSS, has been assigned to supply water services to the entire province of Bulacan via the Bulacan Bulk Water Supply Project (BBWSP), which is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) project of the government.

The project would tackle problems such as low water pressure due to limited distribution systems, saline water intrusion into the groundwater, and lack of water supply.

These projects aim to improve the quality of life of Bulacan residents by continuously enlarging its service coverage areas and by providing clean and steady water.

BBWSP is a pipeline conveyance facility and a water treatment plant that comprises three stages that target the increasing demand for equitable prices and sustainable potable water in the province of Bulacan.

This works with SMC’s mission and vision to instigate positive change while highlighting social and environmental responsibility when providing services and goods easily accessible to Filipinos.

LCWDC Director Raoul C. Romulo has said that “BDO has been very supportive to us in LCWDC, especially in the financing requirements of the BBWSP,”

Regarding the relationship with BD, Romulo says that “Our business relationship with BDO has blossomed since we started banking with them in 2016 and today, it lends support to other projects pursued by the San Miguel group. Living up to its promise to clients of finding ways, BDO is truly our reliable partner as we continue to build a better world for the Filipinos.”
