Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) is set on high alert for the 10-15% holiday traffic surge on two expressways, the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), including its C5 Link segment, and the Cavita-Laguna Expressway (CALAX).

MPT South is implementing its motorist assistance program, “Safe Trip Mo, Sagot Ko” (STMSK), usually carried out during the holiday season across its high-speed road networks.

For CAVITEX and C5 Link, the motorist assistant program will be implemented with joint-venture partner Philippine Reclamation Authority, through its operating subsidiary, PEA Tollways Corporation (PEATC).

The STMSK program will provide towing services for Class 1 vehicles for free up to the nearest exit starting at 6 AM, on December 23, 2022, until 6 AM, December 26, 2022, and 6 AM on January 1, 2023, until 6 AM of January 3, 2023.

Moreover, the tollway operator will heighten its 24/7 customer service and put more manpower on the grounds for RFID lane assistance, ambulant tellers in the cash lane, and more traffic operations personnel.

“We are after the safety and smooth passage of our motorists 365 days of the year, and we are grateful for their patronage all these years,” MPT South President and General Manager Raul L. Ignacio said.

MPT South is a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the toll road development arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC).

Aside from the CALAX and CAVITEX toll roads, MPTC’s domestic road networks include the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), the NLEX Connector Road, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), and the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) in Cebu.
