Agribusiness Rural Bank Inc. (Agribank), a unit under the Ropali Group of Companies, is upgrading its digitalization efforts by implementing a digital management system (DMS) to expand its market reach and for business growth this year.
The bank collaborated with Oradian for an extensive, cloud-core banking solution after subscribing to Amazon Web Services for an additional layer of security and to develop different products to address the growing demand by overseas Filipino workers, small business owners, and farmers.
Agribank launched its mobile app last year to streamline processes and prepare depositors in far-flung areas and communities to switch to digital for more convenient app-based transactions.
Agribank president and CEO Danny Boy Antonio said the company would continue improving its services in preparation for business expansion plans in 2023.
Agribank chief executive vice president and revenue officer Lea Yamballa said the bank would continue to give more Filipinos greater access to financial services that are accessible and competitive in terms of rates and product features.
“Recently, we’ve upgraded our system to Amazon Web Services for a more secure banking experience, as we live by our promise of the rural bank that cares. We wanted to start with the safety of our core banking system, thus our constant upgrade and series of enhancements within the bank’s operational systems. Additionally, we are very proud to hit the 5,000 download mark last December,” Yamballa said.
The company aims to make banking accessible to Filipinos through the Agribank mobile app.
