Philippine Airlines, Inc. (PAL) and its affiliate PAL Express will undergo a digital transformation and automate their business operations by partnering with global aviation software provider Ramco Systems.

“Our focus has always been on improving our global network infrastructure,” PAL President & Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley Ng said. “This has led us to embark on a transformational journey towards technological upgrades and innovation.”

“The extensive functionalities of Ramco’s next-gen Aviation Software, together with our shared values of excellence and customer-centricity, will offer us a technological edge and will help us serve our customers with a robust digital infrastructure,” Ng said.

Ramco’s Aviation Suite V5.9 will replace PAL’s standalone legacy systems and offers end-to-end optimization of PAL’s maintenance and engineering business processes.

This will enable PAL to comply with regulations and have paperless operations. The Ramco Aviation Suite has over 24,000 users and manages more than 4,000 aircraft globally.

Over 90 Aviation organizations, top airlines, 3rd party Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MROs), large Heli-Operators, leading Defense organizations, and Urban Air Mobility worldwide are on board the Ramco solution.

Ramco is part of the $1 billion Ramco Group focusing on Innovation and Culture, changing the paradigm of enterprise software in the marketplace by providing Artificial Intelligence based solutions.

“As PAL’s tech partner, we will support PAL organization’s mission of service and propel its global expansion plans,” according to P.R. Venketrama Raja, Chairman, Ramco Systems.

Currently, PAL is strengthening its network for international flights. It is the only airline with flights connecting the Philippines with the U.S. Mainland, Canada, and Hawaii, as well as the largest network of flights to Japan, Australia, and Middle East countries.

PAL will launch a direct flight between Manila and Perth, Australia, in March 2023 and reopen flights between the Philippines and Beijing, Shanghai, and Macau, in addition to other mainland Chinese destinations.
