The Asia Leaders Awards 2023 brought together prominent figures and industry leaders to celebrate excellence in the country. On November 20, leaders from various sectors convened in the illustrious Manila Hotel to witness this annual recognition ceremony, where 20 distinguished leaders were meticulously chosen out of thousands of nominees.
Among the prominent figures gracing the occasion were H.E Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino bin Anthony, Ambassador of Malaysia; Robert Laurel Yupangco, President of Yupangco Group; Tan Yu III, President of Makati Tourism; and Dr. Elton See Tan, President of E-Hotels and Resorts. The event also drew the presence of shareholders and guests from Rising Tigers Magazine, including Tag Media Group President Grace Bondad Nicolas, CEO Andrew Troy Nicolas, VP Andria Terese Nicolas, and Rising Tigers Co-owner Sarah Mateo.
Notable guests added to the prestigious atmosphere, with COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia, President Atty. Agnes Devanadera of Clark Development Corporation, and representatives from the US Embassy and Romanian Embassy, Bret and Maricor Campbell, William, and Madalina Korbl.
The keynote speaker, Brilliant Skin CEO Glenda Dela Cruz Victorio, a previous awardee, shared her inspiring journey, emphasizing the keys to success: consistency, belief in oneself, and love for the people. The Vice President of Tag Media Group, Andria Terese Nicolas, highlighted the event’s purpose, emphasizing genuine connections as their North Star, forging greatness to lead the country in the right direction.
COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Mojica Garcia, recognized as one of the Men of the Year, expressed gratitude to his team and the Filipino people, acknowledging their crucial role in his leadership. He emphasized the vital role of the COMELEC in protecting the will of the people, aligning democracy with the trust between the Commission on Elections and the Filipino populace.
The Asia Leaders Awards 2023 honored outstanding individuals and organizations across various categories. Notable awardees included BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr, COMELEC Chair George Erwin M. Garcia, and Gov. Hermilando Ingco Mandanas in the Men of the Year category. Company of the Year recognized entities like Shawarma Shack, Viventis Asia, 24/7 AI, Atos Philippines, and Realme. Atty. Agnes Devanadera was named Woman of the Year, while Young Leader of the Year featured Mary Elaine Timbol and Vice Mayor Ronin Leviste. Women of Substance included Alodia Gosiengfiao Quimbo, Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, and Chi Atienza Valdepeñas. The Fastest Growing SME of the Year was Asian Consulting Group represented by Mon Abrea.
