Honoring Sustainable Beauty: Pure Culture Takes Bronze at THINK CLEAN™ Awards

Filipino skincare brand Pure Culture has been honored with a Bronze Award at the 2024 THINK CLEAN ™ sustainable beauty awards, hosted by the Australian-based magazine Clean Beauty. Recognized for their Wild Algae Super Skin Tonic, Pure Culture stands out as the only Filipino-owned brand among the top nine most sustainable, innovative, and inspiring beauty brands worldwide.

The THINK CLEAN ™ Awards, known for their rigorous selection process, saw over 65 brands from around the world compete this year. Pure Culture’s achievement underscores its commitment to creating products that prioritize both consumer health and environmental sustainability. This award is a significant milestone for the brand, showcasing its dedication to the sustainable beauty movement.

“We are incredibly humbled and honored to be recognized among such a distinguished group of global brands,” said Alex Gentry, co-founder and chief innovator of Pure Culture.

The award-winning product, Wild Algae Super Skin Tonic 2.0, is specifically formulated for oily and acne-prone skin. It is a state-of-the-art, multi-use, anti-bacterial, and calming tonic that incorporates MicroSilver to provide a lit-from-within glow. The improved formula offers a lighter, more refreshing feel and is now completely unscented, free from added essential oils. Additionally, it includes prebiotic Saccharide Isomerate, also known as Pentavitin, which helps create a long-lasting moisture barrier, keeping skin hydrated for up to 72 hours.

Over the past seven years, Clean Beauty’s Organic Beauty Award has become a benchmark for excellence in the green beauty industry. This year, Clean Beauty enhanced its commitment to environmental responsibility by introducing a plastic-free preference and an invitation-only entry system. These changes have significantly cut down on waste, reducing it by over 50% from previous years. By carefully selecting brands beforehand, Clean Beauty ensures that only those with the highest standards of quality ingredients, sustainable packaging, and strong community support are considered, setting new benchmarks in the organic beauty industry.

Pure Culture has been a leader in the sustainable beauty movement in the Philippines, championing practices such as eco-friendly packaging, ethically sourced ingredients, and transparent manufacturing processes. This award further solidifies the brand’s position as a next-generation self-care leader, dedicated to fostering a healthier planet and promoting conscious consumerism.
