Yamaha Motor Philippines has officially launched the PG-1, a motorcycle engineered for robust performance across both asphalt and outdoor terrains. The PG-1 is powered by an 115CC FI engine that promises a balance of strong performance, user-friendliness, and low fuel consumption.
Optimized Engine and Transmission
The PG-1 features a Constant Mesh, 4-Speed transmission paired with an Air-Cooled, 4-Stroke, SOHC, 2-Valve engine with a single cylinder. This configuration delivers 6.6kW (9.0PS) at 7000 RPM with a maximum torque of 9.5N-m (1.0kgf-m) at 5500 RPM. Yamaha attributes this efficiency to the optimized design of the combustion chamber and the intake and exhaust systems.
Durable Design for All Terrains
The PG-1 boasts an H-Shaped front frame, enhancing rigidity and running stability. This design also provides excellent shock absorption on uneven roads, improving handling on both unpaved roads and flat dirt tracks. The motorcycle’s upright handlebar design offers a natural riding position due to its optimized height and width.
To navigate various terrains effectively, the PG-1 has a substantial ground clearance of 190mm, reducing the risk of encountering obstructions. It also features an analog instrument cluster with a gear indicator, combining a circular speedometer with an oval-shaped fuel gauge and other vital information.
Comfort and Style
The PG-1 includes a 5.1L fuel tank with the refueling cap conveniently located under the rider’s seat. The seat is divided into front and rear sections, offering a spacious area for the rider and a comfortable space for the passenger. Additionally, the motorcycle is equipped with an iconic round headlight and tail lights, enhancing its timeless design.
Yamaha Motor Philippines believes the PG-1 will appeal to riders looking for a versatile and stylish motorcycle capable of handling various terrains with ease.
