Batangas-based Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company of Manila Inc. (AG&P Industrial) has entered the European Union market by securing a contract valued at over P3 billion to supply preassembled pipe racks and support structures for the region’s petrochemical industry. The company is part of AG&P International Holdings Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore.
AG&P Industrial is working with London-based INEOS, the world’s fourth-largest chemical company, on its flagship project, INEOS Project One, which aims to build Europe’s most environmentally sustainable cracker plant. The facility will have the lowest carbon footprint of any cracker in Europe, with emissions three times lower than the regional average.
AG&P Industrial President Alex Gamboa expressed pride in the company’s selection, noting that AG&P was chosen from among the top 15 global fabrication yard operators. The first batch of preassembled units, weighing over 1,400 metric tons, has already been shipped from Batangas to Belgium.
