Metro Manila is in dire need of contact tracers, so they are looking to hire over 4,000 applicants to fill the gap.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced on Monday that Metro Manila recently opened 4,754 vacancies for contact tracers.

The workers will receive ₱537 daily for 3 months and the local government of Metro Manila will also provide them with personal protective equipment, according to DOLE Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns Head Ma. Karina Perida-Trayvilla.

“Mas preferred po ang residente kung saan sila magcoconduct ng contact tracing para less ang transportation cost,” (“It would be preferable if applicants were residents of areas where they will conduct contact tracing to lessen transportation cost,”) said Perida-Trayvilla.

Interested applicants should at least be high school graduates, have relevant experience related to the position, and proficient with telephones, cellphones, and the internet.

Applicants are also required to submit a barangay certificate and medical certificate, according to Perida-Trayvilla.
