NNIC Partners with PLDT, Converge to Enhance Free WiFi Services at NAIA

New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) has teamed up with PLDT Inc. and Converge ICT Solutions Inc. to improve free WiFi services at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). NNIC announced that WiFi speeds across NAIA terminals have now reached 50 to 60 Mbps on average, with peak speeds of up to 115 Mbps. Approximately 1,000 users connect to the network every hour.

NNIC, a consortium led by San Miguel Holdings Corp. and partners including Incheon International Airport Corp., began managing NAIA on September 14, 2024. With an investment of P144 billion over a 15-year concession period, NNIC aims to enhance various airport services, starting with connectivity improvements.

In related updates, NNIC announced that Terminal 4 will close on November 6 for renovations aimed at upgrading aging facilities, with plans to reopen by February 2025.
