Israeli Ambassador Ilan Fluss Visits GMA Network, Strengthens Bilateral Ties

Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Ilan Fluss, visited GMA Network Center in Quezon City on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Ambassador Fluss was welcomed by GMA Network Inc. President and CEO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., alongside key network executives, including Executive Vice President and CFO Felipe S. Yalong and Senior Vice President for Programming and Entertainment, Lilybeth Rasonable.

Accompanied by Deputy Ambassador Ester Buzgan and Press Officer Danica Marollano-Reglos, Ambassador Fluss met with GMA leadership to discuss the strong relationship between Israel and the Philippines. Duavit emphasized Israel’s contribution to the Philippines’ development through innovation and technology. He also reaffirmed GMA’s commitment to fostering deeper understanding and cooperation between the two nations through responsible journalism.

Ambassador Fluss expressed optimism about the Philippines’ growth and potential, noting the increasing opportunities for innovation since his last visit in the 1990s. He highlighted the importance of collaboration and a forward-thinking approach to drive progress.

During his visit, the ambassador also sat for an interview with broadcast journalist Pia Arcangel, which will be aired on GMA’s 24 Oras.
