LandBank Offers Loans to Aid Businesses and Individuals Affected by Typhoon Kristine

The Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank) announced financial support for sectors impacted by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (internationally named Trami), providing loans to help with recovery efforts. Through its CARES Plus program, LandBank will extend loans to farmers, fishers, cooperatives, MSMEs, large corporations, and electric distribution utilities to fund working capital, capital expenditures, and repair or replacement of storm-damaged equipment and facilities.

For government employees and LandBank payroll account holders, quick-access loans are available through the Electronic Salary Loan (ESL) feature. Additionally, LandBank credit card holders can convert available credit into cash with flexible repayment plans of up to 36 months using the “EasyCash for Emergencies” option.

“LandBank stands ready to provide accessible, responsive, and immediate financial assistance to sectors severely impacted by the typhoon,” said LandBank president Lynette Ortiz, reiterating the bank’s commitment to supporting affected communities.

LandBank, the country’s second-largest lender, continues to focus on countryside development and agrarian reform, while serving as a primary depository for government funds.
