With the anticipated surge in travelers over the Undas long weekend, the New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC) is urging passengers to arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) well ahead of their scheduled flights to allow ample time for security, check-in, and immigration. This advice comes as NNIC works closely with the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and government agencies to manage the expected influx of passengers.
In preparation, the NNIC is coordinating with airlines to encourage early check-in counter openings to reduce queuing times during peak hours. Additionally, efforts are being made with transportation providers to increase vehicle availability, while a comprehensive review of ground handling and airline equipment is underway to ensure operational efficiency. To ease traffic, the airport operator has also introduced more parking spaces at Terminal 3 and raised overnight parking fees to discourage long-term parking.
Malacañang has designated November 1 and 2 as special non-working days and announced an early suspension of work and classes on October 31 to accommodate travelers observing All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
