GSIS Launches Flexible ‘MPL Lite’ Loan Program for State Workers

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) introduced the new Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL) Lite program on Tuesday, aimed at providing state workers with fast financial relief for unexpected expenses and budget shortfalls. This loan program allows members to borrow amounts between PHP 5,000 and PHP 50,000, with repayment terms of six, 12, 18, or 24 months and interest rates set at 6% or 7%, depending on the member’s tenure.

Key features of the MPL Lite include a one-time loan redemption insurance, no fees for early repayment, and zero service fees for members with an active MPL Flex—a program that consolidates existing loans at 6% interest over up to 15 years. The MPL Lite is available through the GSIS Touch mobile app, with funds credited within three days of approval.

“This program provides accessible and affordable financial solutions for our members, honoring their contributions with convenient e-crediting and a streamlined application process,” said GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso.
