Inter-bank network BancNet has resolved the issue that disrupted InstaPay bank transfers to the e-wallet platform GCash on Friday, restoring the service by early evening.
In a Facebook post, GCash confirmed that the problem had been addressed, assuring users that delayed transfers to GCash accounts would be processed within 24–48 hours.
“Instapay Bank Transfer service to GCash is now available,” GCash announced.
The issue, which was first flagged on Friday afternoon, prompted GCash to issue an advisory informing users that BancNet was working to restore the service. The e-wallet provider also clarified that any funds debited from users’ bank accounts would be credited to their GCash wallets within the specified timeframe.
This update follows previous incidents involving GCash, including a BSP investigation into glitches and a planned data privacy probe by the NPC, highlighting ongoing efforts to improve service reliability.
