The Department of Tourism (DOH) and National Parks and Development Committee (NPDC) has given the go signal to Manila Mayor Isko Moreno to build the Manila COVID-19 Field Hospital.
It will be constructed 24 hours a day and is expected to be completed in just two months.
The site has a 336-bed capacity, medical quarters for staff, and is offering free services for mild and moderate patients. It’s designed to be scalable and can increase its operational capacities if needed.
The hospital will be located in front of the temporary drive-thru vaccination site at the Independence Road (Parade Grounds) of the Quirino Grandstand.
