Financial technology leader GCash and Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) have partnered to provide Filipinos with easy access to loans through a 24/7 service called Pasado Loans.
Pasado Loans, introduced by RCBC, offers borrowers amounts ranging from P30,000 to P500,000 without requiring collateral. Applicants can apply directly via the GCash mobile wallet app by submitting credentials through the Pasado Loan portal.
RCBC’s credit evaluation engine processes loan applications in seconds, with approved amounts disbursed through the applicant’s RCBC Diskartech account.
GCash’s lending arm CEO, Tony Isidro, emphasized the partnership’s goal of transforming the financial landscape. “By partnering with RCBC, we’re not just making loans accessible; we’re opening doors to opportunities for countless Filipinos and shaping a more inclusive future,” Isidro said.
RCBC executive vice president Lito Villanueva highlighted the collaboration as a model of bayanihan in the fintech sector. “By fusing our powers, we can reach more Filipinos, helping them achieve their goals and aspirations,” Villanueva said.
This partnership aims to broaden financial inclusion and make borrowing more convenient for the everyday Filipino.
