PAGCOR, SMC Begin Construction of ₱2.45-B Corporate Center in Nayong Pilipino

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) and San Miguel Corp. (SMC) have officially broken ground on the ₱2.45-billion PAGCOR Corporate Center at the Nayong Pilipino property in Pasay City.

The 40,000-square-meter office building will be fully funded and constructed by SMC as part of a 25-year lease agreement signed in December for the 15-hectare Nayong Pilipino property.

A Symbol of Progress

PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco emphasized the significance of revitalizing Nayong Pilipino, which was once a hub of culture and history.

“The Nayong Pilipino complex, once known for its rich attractions, culture, and history, had long lain dormant. Today, it is set to be transformed into a vibrant symbol of progress and opportunities for PAGCOR,” Tengco stated.

Designed by JSLA architectural design firm and constructed by New Golden City Builders, the facility will also feature commercial spaces available for lease, helping PAGCOR generate rental income to cover maintenance costs.

Supporting Airport Infrastructure

Beyond the Corporate Center, SMC Chairman and CEO Ramon Ang revealed plans to develop additional infrastructure on the remaining 13 hectares, aligning with airport operations.

“While SMC will construct the Corporate Center, we will also use PAGCOR’s Nayong Pilipino property to build infrastructure that will complement airport requirements,” Ang said.

SMC, which operates Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), has already turned over nearly ₱100 million in advance rental and security deposits for the lease.
