Motorists will get some relief at the pump this week as major fuel retailers implement price rollbacks starting Tuesday, March 4.
🔻 Gasoline: ↓ ₱0.90 per liter
🔻 Diesel: ↓ ₱0.80 per liter
🔻 Kerosene: ↓ ₱1.40 per liter
Companies implementing these adjustments include:
✅ Caltex, Petron, Seaoil, Shell (All fuels)
✅ Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, PTT Philippines (Gasoline & Diesel only)
⏰ 6:00 AM – Most firms
⏰ 8:01 AM – Cleanfuel
The Department of Energy (DOE) attributes the price cut to:
📉 Slower fuel demand in Korea
📈 Higher fuel inventories in the US
🕊️ Easing geopolitical risks
💼 Expected lower demand due to upcoming US trade tariffs
Despite the rollback, fuel prices remain higher than at the start of 2025, with net year-to-date increases of:
⛽ Gasoline & Diesel: +₱4.75/L
🛢️ Kerosene: +₱2.90/L
