Manila, Philippines – Motorists can expect a significant fuel price rollback next week, with gasoline, diesel, and kerosene prices set to decrease.
According to Department of Energy (DOE) Oil Industry Management Bureau Assistant Director Rodela Romero, the estimated price reductions based on Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) trading are:
🔻 Gasoline: ₱1.40 to ₱1.70 per liter
🔻 Diesel: ₱0.90 to ₱1.20 per liter
🔻 Kerosene: ₱1.50 to ₱1.70 per liter
The anticipated rollback is attributed to:
✅ Increased U.S. crude oil stockpiles
✅ OPEC+ plans to boost oil production by April
✅ Trade tensions from U.S. tariffs on Canada, China, and Mexico
Fuel companies will announce the official price adjustments on Monday, effective Tuesday, March 12.
