Ayala Corp. Appoints Next-Gen Leaders to Key Executive Roles

MANILAAyala Corp. (AC), the country’s oldest conglomerate, has announced the promotion of four next-generation leaders who will play crucial roles in shaping the company’s future.

New Leadership Appointments

AC has appointed Mariana Beatriz Zobel de Ayala and Mark Robert Uy as Managing Directors, while Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala and Jaime Urquijo have been named Executive Directors.

Their Key Roles:

  • Mariana Zobel de Ayala will lead the transformation of Ayala Land Inc.’s (ALI) leasing business, focusing on retail, hospitality, and office spaces, including the reinvention of flagship and core malls.
  • Mark Robert Uy will spearhead business portfolio transformation, balancing concentration and diversification while ensuring long-term growth and expansion into new ventures.
  • Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala will focus on corporate governance and drive the expansion of ACMobility, Ayala’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) platform.
  • Jaime Urquijo will lead the internal transformation of Ayala Corp., fostering greater synergy between the holding company and its subsidiaries.

A Vision for Ayala’s Future

AC President and CEO Cezar Consing emphasized that these leaders represent Ayala’s core values of being purposeful, forward-looking, and engaged.

“They will help make for an even better Ayala as we look ahead to completing two centuries of building businesses that enable people to thrive,” said Consing.

Long-Term Succession Plan

As part of Ayala’s leadership transition strategy, the company also announced several key appointments across its subsidiaries:

  • Carl Raymond Cruz – Deputy CEO, Globe Telecom
  • Margarita Dy – President & CEO, Ayala Land
  • Erry Hardianto – President & CEO, AC Logistics
  • Antonio Lambino II – President, Ayala Foundation
  • Franchette Acosta – Chief Legal Officer, Ayala Corp.
  • Juan Carlos Syquia – Deputy Chief Financial Officer, Ayala Corp.

With these strategic appointments, Ayala Corp. is reinforcing its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth as it nears 200 years of business excellence.
