inDrive Plans to Expand Driver Network by 30%-40% in 2025

MANILARide-hailing firm inDrive is set to expand its driver network by 30% to 40% this year, as it strengthens its presence in the Philippines, according to inDrive Group President and Deputy CEO Mark Loughran.

Growth and Expansion Plans

Since resuming operations in June 2024, after a five-month suspension by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), inDrive ended the year with 20,000 drivers.

“We expect that to expand by maybe 30% to 40% this year… We see good demand from passengers, but most importantly, strong engagement from drivers with our business model,” said Loughran.

The company currently implements a 10% commission rate, which Loughran described as “the lowest sustainable commission in the market.”

Targeting More Cities

inDrive’s services are already available in Metro Manila, Bacolod, Baguio, Iloilo, Butuan, and Cagayan de Oro. The company recently launched in Cebu and is planning to enter Davao this year.

Despite the expansion, Loughran emphasized a gradual approach to ensure high-quality service delivery.

“We do not want to expand to too many cities too quickly because we have to deliver very good services,” he said.

With these plans, inDrive continues to position itself as a strong competitor in the Philippine ride-hailing market.
