Ramon Ang Pledges Medical Aid, Financial Support for NAIA Terminal 1 Crash Victims

Ramon Ang, president of New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC), has vowed to cover the medical expenses of those injured and extend financial assistance to the families of the deceased in the tragic crash at NAIA Terminal 1.

In a statement issued Sunday, Ang expressed deep sympathy for the victims, calling the incident “very tragic” and assuring that their immediate needs will be prioritized. “Our priority now is to make sure the victims and their families receive the support and care they need,” he said.

The accident occurred at around 8:55 a.m. when a black SUV suddenly accelerated and smashed through the barriers at the departure area, killing a man and a four-year-old girl and injuring four others. Authorities reported that the vehicle had been parked near the terminal entrance before it unexpectedly surged forward. The driver is now in police custody.

NNIC stated that it is fully cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation. “We continue to support all emergency and response efforts,” the company said, also extending condolences to the victims’ families and wishing a full recovery to the injured.
