PSE Upgrades to Nasdaq Eqlipse Trading in Expanded Tech Partnership

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is upgrading its trading system to Nasdaq’s advanced Eqlipse Trading platform, as part of an extended technology partnership between the two organizations.

The new platform will enhance PSE’s capabilities with advanced features such as pre-trade risk controls, options pricing, and index calculations. It also supports flexible deployment, reducing operational burdens and enabling smoother cloud integration.

“Partnering with Nasdaq ensures we continue providing a reliable and future-ready trading system,” said PSE President and CEO Ramon Monzon.

Nasdaq’s Eqlipse Trading is its fourth-generation multi-asset marketplace platform and is trusted by major global financial institutions—including 97% of systemically important banks, half of the top 25 global exchanges, and 35 central banks.

Nasdaq executives highlighted the partnership’s role in modernizing the Philippines’ capital markets. “We’re excited to support PSE in raising the profile of Philippine markets internationally,” said Magnus Haglind of Nasdaq Marketplace Technology.

R.G. Manalac, Nasdaq Asia Pacific VP, also noted that Nasdaq’s expanding footprint aligns with the Philippines’ rapid economic growth in the ASEAN region.
