92 Mercury Drug Stores to Accept DSWD Guarantee Letters from AICS, AKAP Beneficiaries Starting June 2

Beginning June 2, 92 Mercury Drug branches across the Philippines will start accepting guarantee letters (GLs) issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) and Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP).

As reported by Super Radyo dzBB, these GLs will allow beneficiaries to purchase medicines without immediate out-of-pocket expenses, easing the financial burden on low-income individuals and families.

The initiative applies to letters issued by the DSWD Central Office and field offices in key regions including NCR, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Central and Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCSKSARGEN, and Caraga.

The AICS program assists individuals and families facing emergencies or severe poverty, while AKAP supports minimum-wage earners and below.
