MANILA, Philippines — Construction giant EEI Corporation has kicked off 2026 with a major win, securing ₱1.6 billion in new real estate projects during the first two months of the year.
The Yuchengco-led firm has been tapped by Torre Lorenzo Development Corp. (TLDC) to lead the construction of two major high-rise developments in Tierra Davao:
- Crown Residences: A 21-storey residential tower featuring 322 units and extensive wellness facilities.
- Crest Suites: A 21-storey mixed-use project. This development will include 16 floors of condo-hotel units and three floors of residential condominiums, totaling 260 units.
EEI President and CEO Henry Antonio noted that these projects represent a key expansion into regional markets outside of Metro Manila.
- Diversification: The contracts strengthen EEI’s presence in the hospitality and residential sectors, specifically in high-growth regional centers like Davao.
- Job Creation: Antonio emphasized that the projects will provide fresh employment opportunities within the construction industry.
- Economic Signal: The ₱1.6-billion haul indicates a strong, continued demand for premium residential and hospitality spaces as developers look to expand beyond the capital.
The new awards bring EEI closer to its order book targets for 2026. This follows other significant moves by the company, including the recent establishment of a TESDA-accredited training academy in Cavite to bolster its workforce of skilled engineers and construction professionals.
