Alcohol Can Now Be Served in Dine-In Restaurants

IMG SOURCE: Healthline

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) announced that restaurants with dine-in services are now allowed to serve up to 2 alcoholic beverages per customer.

The DTI also allowed the dine-in cap to reach 75% capacity in areas under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) and 50% in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ).

Metro Manila is currently categorized under GCQ.

Establishments are also allowed to operate until 11 P.M. daily.

Establishments are also required to improve their exhaust system, implement a “no face mask, no entry” policy, and implement physical distancing.

The DTI also asks establishments to minimize music to discourage loud talking, “which increases the likelihood of droplet transmission.”

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) continue to ban establishments that primarily serve alcohol such as bars and clubs from operating.
