Under the joint vote of local mayors, Metro Manila will undergo a unified curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. as an implemented measure to help contain the virus.

Harry Roque, presidential spokesperson, said “I understand the mayors voted. There was a majority, that the curfew hours should be 8 (p.m.) to 5 (a.m.),”

Roque went on to clarify that Pasig, Manila, and Muntinlupa will not be covered by the curfew hours as the local governments would need to amend respective ordinances to fit the unified schedule.

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that food delivery services were exempt from the unified curfew.

Jojo Garcia, general manager of the MMDA, said “Ang atin pong mayors from Metro Manila, majority of them, pinayagan na po magbukas ‘yung ating mga restaurant, fast-food chains ng 24 hours sa food delivery,”

Dine-in services were also allowed to resume after the transition of Metro Manila to general community quarantine (GCQ), allowing local governments to decide operating capacity for restaurants.
