Home Improvement marketplace Konstruk launches Online Platform

The Filipino-owned e-commerce site, Konstruk, has recently launched its online platform to give users a more seamless shopping experience. Konstruk mainly offers products necessary for making home improvements and construction supplies as they recognize a lack of online presence in the country’s construction sector.

Founder and CEO Rommel Bulalacao said, “majority of the merchants from the construction sector, especially the MSMEs, are still brick-and-mortar stores or do not have sufficient avenue capabilities to bring their business online.”

According to Bulalacao, lockdown restrictions have emphasized the importance of having an online presence for businesses. He realized that the construction sector was lacking in this area even though it was still hit with heavy losses in the past two years of the pandemic.

“There was no dedicated concept yet for the construction and home improvement sector using e-commerce,” Bulalacao said.

Following his epiphany, Konstruk was created to promote business continuity in the construction and home improvement sector. The company’s digital marketing platform allows community hardware stores, wholesalers, distributors, and manufacturers to join the online business ecosystem.

Customers can now shop on Konstruk’s website and mobile application as it offers a wide array of products. There is no longer a need for a long commute, hours in traffic, or the risk of exposure when one wishes to buy home improvement equipment. Additionally, the website and app feature safe and reliable payment methods such as the Metrobank payment gateway system and GCash.
