To properly compensate Filipino artists, while showcasing their creativity and uniqueness the new NFT platform Kūsho will be launched this coming March 18.

Kūsho is a platform that aims to establish its identity as a safe space for artists to express themselves as the NFT scene in the Philippines continues to grow at a rapid pace. The platform will allow artists to put their works up as unique digital assets to counteract the injustices they normally face.

Besides being used as a minting platform, Kūsho will offer podcasts, webinars, and community discussions on the arts and the Metaverse. The site’s creators have made it clear that they want to bring NFT education to the domestic community as they believe that NFTs give artists a safer and easier transaction experience.

Additionally, those who hold Kūsho NFTs will be provided utilities to enjoy privileges from partnerships, getting to join the Kūsho community, and acquiring high-quality unique digital assets at an affordable price.

The project is currently in its first phase as it garners community engagement, secures partnerships, and gives gradual previews of the actual minting platform. Kūsho’s second phase is mainly concerned with launching the Kūsho Verse: Army of Artists. The Kūsho Verse is a project where selected artists from the community will collaborate and create the next collections of Kūsho.

“May paninindigan kami… ang Kūsho ay para pahalagahan ang arts and artists.” Sachie
Santiago, the lead programmer emphasizes. “The biggest utility is Kūsho being a platform in itself. Gusto namin na yung Kūsho ay vina-vitalize ang community, and vice versa.” Yuann Acosta, the leader of the project adds.

Kūsho has seen positive feedback as their community has grown on Discord with it having over 5,700 members. Partnerships with other collaborators like ESET and IMPLICIT have been implied by Kusho’s recent posts on social media.
