Agri-engineer group PSABE sets webinar to discuss FiRE

The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) will be holding the 32nd Philippine Agricultural Engineering Week on April 27-28 via webinar.

The theme of the event is “Harnessing Industry 4.o for Agricultural and Biosystems engineering.”

“Industry 4.0, or FiRE (Fourth Industrial Revolution), has the vast potential to transform agriculture and food systems and has started to take root in developed countries. We must make sure that the Philippines must not be left behind as FiRE helps give birth to Agriculture 4.0… Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers can take an active part in contributing to the economic rebound by applying technologies from FiRE to the agriculture sector,” said PSABE President Dennis Tactac. The two-day event will feature discussions, research presentations, and awards for leaders in the industry. The country’s agriculture sector has been continually cited as a potential key driver of its economic recovery if tapped into correctly.
