AIM Launches First Master in Data Analytics Program in the Philippines

The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) has introduced the country’s first-ever Master in Data Analytics (MDA) program to meet the growing global demand for skilled data analysts. This 18-month, part-time, hybrid program aims to equip professionals with essential tools and knowledge in data analysis.

During the program’s launch on August 30, AIM President and Dean Jikyeong Kang, PhD, emphasized the increasing need for employees who can derive actionable insights from data. “This new program, Master in Data Analytics, is really answering that particular need,” Kang said.

Academic Program Director Corinne Burgos, PhD, noted that by 2025, more than half of employees will require significant reskilling, highlighting the necessity of data analytics skills across various industries.

The MDA program focuses on practical application, allowing students to work on real-world projects and gain industry exposure. AIM forecasts that the country will need 500,000 analytics professionals by 2028, with demand extending beyond the IT sector to fields like marketing, human resources, and government.

Applications for the program’s March 2025 intake will open soon.
