Andrew Tan Named Chairman Emeritus of Emperador Inc.; Winston Co Takes Helm as New Chairman

Billionaire businessman Andrew Tan has been appointed chairman emeritus of Emperador Inc., marking a new leadership phase for the global liquor firm. The announcement followed a board meeting on June 9.

With Tan stepping into the honorary role, Winston Co has been named the company’s new chairman and president, while Glenn Manlapaz takes over as chief executive officer.

The company also updated its board lineup. Elected as regular directors were Katherine Tan, Winston Co, Kendrick Andrew Tan, and Kevin Andrew Tan. Independent directors now include Jose Rene Gregory Almendras, Jesli Lapus, and Ho Poh Wah.

Emperador has allocated ₱4 billion for capital expenditures in 2025, focusing largely on expanding its Dalmore distillery in Scotland and doubling its whisky maturation capacity at its Invergordon facility.

The company’s well-known brands include Emperador Brandy, Emperador Light, The Dalmore, Whyte & Mackay, Smirnoff Mule, Andy Player Whisky, Terry Centenario, Tres Cepas, and Harveys.
