ACMobility, the Ayala Group’s mobility arm, has acquired Evro, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network developed by Globe Telecom’s 917 Ventures. The move aims to consolidate and enhance EV charging accessibility for users across the Philippines.
Evro is an e-mobility service provider (eMSP) that offers real-time data on charging station locations, availability, and functionality via a mobile app. The platform allows users to locate, reserve, and manage charging sessions.
“We are thrilled to bring Evro into the ACMobility ecosystem,” said ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala. “It will address range anxiety concerns and empower EV owners to have full control of their charging experience.”
Evro’s app currently lists 33 live charging locations operated by ACMobility, including:
Plans are underway to onboard more charge-point operators and expand the network further.
ACMobility, which distributes Kia, Volkswagen, and BYD vehicles, operates one of the country’s largest dealership networks for Honda and Isuzu. Integrating Evro aligns with its commitment to advancing sustainable transportation solutions.
“Entrusting Evro to ACMobility ensures it will continue to evolve and contribute to the advancement of sustainable transport,” said Vince Yamat, 917Ventures managing director.
The Philippines aims to sell 2.4 million EV units and establish 65,000 charging stations by 2028, positioning acquisitions like Evro as critical steps toward achieving these targets.
