The Bureau of Customs (BOC) reported a P931.046 billion revenue collection for 2024, exceeding its 2023 total of P874.166 billion despite economic challenges such as tariff reductions on rice and electric vehicles and the deferment of excise tax reforms.
Several key ports—including Legazpi, Tacloban, NAIA, Clark, and Cagayan De Oro—surpassed their revenue targets, while an additional P2.71 billion was generated through post-clearance audits and voluntary disclosures.
To streamline transactions, the BOC launched the Electronic Payment Portal System (ePay) under Customs Memorandum Order No. 06-2024, enabling online payments for customs duties, taxes, and fees.
Other digital initiatives include:
✔ MOA with LandBank for digital payment processing via Link.BizPortal
✔ Integration of Maya Philippines’ payment platform for seamless online transactions
These efforts aim to enhance transparency, efficiency, and economic stability while supporting the Marcos administration’s public service funding.
