Cebu Pacific and AirAsia announced the full restoration of their systems on Sunday following a global IT outage that disrupted airlines and businesses worldwide.
In an advisory issued at 7:30 AM, Cebu Pacific, led by the Gokongwei Group, confirmed that its technology provider, Navitaire, had completed the restoration of all services and underlying servers to full capacity. The airline stated, “All systems are now operational, and we plan to operate our normal flight schedules.”
Passengers with confirmed bookings are advised to monitor the status of their flights via the Cebu Pacific website. The airline expressed gratitude to its IT and airport staff for resolving the situation and assisting affected passengers.
“We also appreciate the patience and understanding shown by our passengers during this challenging time. Thank you for your continued support,” Cebu Pacific added.
AirAsia also announced that all its systems were back online over the weekend. The airline asked for patience from its guests as it recovers from multiple delays and cancellations caused by the global IT outage.
“We ask for patience among our guests, as we recover from multiple delays and cancellations as a result of the global IT outage (on Friday) that is beyond our control,” AirAsia stated in its advisory.
