Budget airline Cebu Pacific, part of the Gokongwei group, marked a major milestone on Friday, having flown its 250 millionth passenger since its establishment in 1988.
The lucky passenger, Russel Capaniarihan, a Singapore-based overseas Filipino worker originally from Bacolod, was aboard Flight 5J 814 from Singapore to Manila. Capaniarihan returned home to the Philippines to spend the holidays with her family after 11 years.
Upon arriving at NAIA Terminal 3 on December 11, 2024, Capaniarihan was greeted by Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao and chief marketing and customer experience officer Candice Iyog.
To celebrate the occasion, Cebu Pacific awarded Capaniarihan:
“This 250 million passenger milestone is a testament to the trust and loyalty of every Juan who has chosen to fly with us,” said Xander Lao. He emphasized that the achievement represents countless reunions, memorable journeys, and opportunities, reaffirming the airline’s commitment to making travel affordable, accessible, and unforgettable.
