Cebu Pacific recently partnered with IBS Software as part of its endeavor to further its digitalization efforts. The software firm is a leading service solutions provider to the travel industry globally. IBS Software offers various solutions which cover fleet and crew operations, aircraft maintenance, passenger services, staff travel, and air cargo management.

Through the partnership, Cebu Pacific will integrate IBS Software’s iFlight cloud platform. This is expected to significantly improve the operational efficiency of the airline’s crew scheduling process, particularly as it continues to add more flights throughout its domestic and international networks. Prior to the iFlight solution, Cebu Pacific manually processed the management of staff schedules such as crew pairings, rostering, and crew preferential bidding.

“In IBS Software, we have found the ideal partner to digitize critical operations as we want to ensure that it maximizes digital tools to improve the processes for its staff,” explained Cebu Pacific Vice President for Flight Operations Captain Sam Avila. “Employee satisfaction is important to us and iFlight gives us the tools and insight we need to make proactive, data-driven decisions to do so.”

The iFlight platform enables Cebu Pacific to improve its current crew roster system. This, in turn, will help to produce fair and transparent rosters. Likewise, staff will be able to manage their schedules more effectively. Other top airlines across the world also use the cloud platform to increase their cost savings, productivity, and functionality to complement the growth of their business operations.

“It is an honor to be selected by Cebu Pacific,” expressed IBS Software Senior Vice President and Asia-Pacific Regional Head Guatam Shekar. “The low-cost carrier segment is dynamic and fast-growing, and this partnership is testimony to our vision and expertise in helping various airlines use the latest technology to overhaul operational processes.”
