Cebu Pacific Launches Cebu-Osaka Flights with P1 Promo Fare

Cebu Pacific has announced a special one-way promotional base fare of P1 for flights between Cebu and Osaka, set to commence on October 15, 2024.

In their advisory, Cebu Pacific highlighted that these promotional fares, exclusive of additional fees and surcharges, will be available until July 31, 2024, for travel from October 15, 2024, to March 31, 2025. The Cebu-Osaka route will operate four times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays—augmenting the carrier’s existing Cebu-Narita services.

“Japan is a prime destination for Filipino travelers, and this new route offers a great opportunity to explore one of Japan’s vibrant cities,” said Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao. “We also aim to inspire more Japanese travelers to discover the beauty of the Philippines.”

Earlier in the month, Cebu Pacific signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Airbus for firm orders of up to 102 A321neo and 50 A320neo family aircraft, powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. The airline expects to close the year with a fleet of 95 aircraft, enhancing its seat capacity by 12% to 15% over 2023.

The carrier reported P2.24 billion in net earnings for the first quarter of the year, doubling its P1.08 billion profit from the same period last year, with total revenues increasing by 21% to P25.3 billion. Currently, Cebu Pacific operates flights to 35 domestic and 25 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
