Cebu Pacific to Lease Aircraft to Saudia’s Flyadeal Under New Strategic Partnership

Cebu Pacific has entered a strategic partnership with Saudia’s budget airline, flyadeal, starting with a wet-lease agreement involving two Airbus A320 aircraft.

The agreement, signed by Cebu Pacific CEO Mike Szucs and flyadeal CEO Steven Greenway in Parañaque City on May 28, aims to explore broader commercial collaborations, including maintenance and engineering support.

Under the deal, flyadeal will lease two Cebu Pacific aircraft for Saudi Arabia’s summer travel peak next month. In return, Cebu Pacific may lease flyadeal’s A320s during Southeast Asia’s high winter travel season later this year.

Szucs said the arrangement helps Cebu Pacific optimize fleet use during off-peak periods and supports revenue diversification. “This partnership strengthens our presence beyond Asia-Pacific and highlights our growing capability in supporting international carriers,” he added.

Greenway noted the agreement is flyadeal’s first strategic airline partnership, describing it as a mutually beneficial move to manage peak-season demand efficiently.
