Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc. (CCBPI), the official distributor and bottling partner of Coca-Cola products in the Philippines, has officially changed its name to Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines Inc. (CCEAP).
The company announced that the name change was approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and took effect on January 15, 2025. This follows the 2024 acquisition of CCBPI by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) and Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. (AEV) for $1.8 billion on a debt-free and cash-free basis. Under the deal, CCEP owns 60% of the company, while AEV holds 40%.
CCEAP President and CEO Gareth McGeown emphasized that the new name represents an exciting phase for the company. “It signifies our commitment to serving our customers, supporting our communities, and driving long-term growth for the country,” McGeown said.
Aboitiz Group President and CEO Sabin Aboitiz echoed this sentiment, highlighting the strength of the partnership with CCEP. “With this new identity, we believe we can make a much more meaningful impact,” he said.
The name change reflects a renewed focus on collaboration and the company’s shared dedication to its stakeholders.
