The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has approved a price increase for Pinoy Tasty and Pinoy Pandesal, citing rising costs of raw materials.
📌 Pinoy Tasty (450g) ➝ ₱44.00 (from ₱40.50, +₱3.50)
📌 Pinoy Pandesal (250g, 10 pcs) ➝ ₱27.25 (from ₱25.00, +₱2.25)
According to Trade Secretary Cris Roque, bread manufacturers requested the increase due to the higher costs of ingredients, prompting DTI to approve the adjustment.
Pinoy Tasty and Pinoy Pandesal are affordable bread options under a corporate social responsibility program launched by DTI and Philbaking in 2010. Major bakery brands such as The French Baker, Gardenia Philippines, and Julie’s participate in the initiative.
