DTI Launches 2025 National Food Fair Showcasing Filipino Flavors and Innovation

MANDALUYONG CITY, Philippines – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) officially kicked off the 2025 Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair at SM Megamall, spotlighting over 250 unique food ventures from across the Philippines.

Running from April 9 to 13, the five-day event celebrates Filipino culinary heritage, regional specialties, and innovations in sustainable food packaging and processing.

Supported by the Tatak Pinoy Strategy Program, the fair aims to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by connecting them with wider markets and advancing food technology and sustainability practices.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. led the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and toured the exhibits featuring curated food zones and regional cuisine.

“This fair isn’t just a culinary celebration,” said Marcos. “It reflects the creativity and resilience of our farmers, artisans, and food entrepreneurs—bringing pride to the Filipino identity.”

Coinciding with Filipino Food Month, the fair also launched the Bagong Pilipinas Marketplace, a new B2B e-commerce platform designed to digitally connect MSMEs with both local and global buyers. The initiative is part of the country’s push for digital transformation in food and manufacturing.

“This platform will showcase proudly Filipino products and support innovation, sustainability, and global visibility,” said Marcos, encouraging both local and international investors to explore Philippine market opportunities.
