First-Ever Rising Tigers Cup Demonstrates Fusion of Business and Athletics

On August 7, 2023, the Rising Tigers Cup took center stage at the Manila Golf and Country Club, one of the most exclusive golf clubs in the Philippines. Once again, Rising Tigers demonstrated its excellence, not just within the domains of business and lifestyle, but also within the world of sports. The tournament culminated with Kristoffer Arevalo from DLSU Golf Club emerging as the First Master of the Green.

The tournament was led by Rising Tigers’ Chief Marketing Officer, Andria Terese Nicolas, along with Ambassador of Malaysia H.E Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castellino and Robert Laurel Yupangco of Yupangco Group. Notably, the proceeds from the tournament are earmarked for the initiatives of Kiwanis Club of Makati, reflecting Rising Tigers’ commitment to community advancement.

Commencing the awarding ceremony, Andria Nicolas addressed the magazine’s noteworthy venture into sports, stating, “Rising Tigers has inspired so many and we heard that a lot of Presidents and CEOs from different companies are already learning how to play golf to join our next one. You all have proven to us that the Rising Tigers Cup is the Number 1 Golf Tournament in the Philippines.” Nicolas underlined the intention to provide all individuals an opportunity to embody the Rising Tiger spirit, disclosing that the next Rising Tigers Cup will still be held at the Manila Golf and Country Club. 

With resounding support from Ambassadors, Business leaders, Diplomats, and Industry Titans, Rising Tigers seamlessly embraced the world of sports. Esteemed personalities include Lauro Leviste, President of Summit Point, Michael Pacquiao, Creative Director of Rising Tigers Magazine, Robert Laurel Yupangco, President of Yupangco Group, Brian Poe Llamanzares, Co-Owner of Rising Tigers Magazine, David Ackerman, Consul of Ethiopia, Grace Bondad Nicolas, President of Rising Tigers Magazine, Andrew Troy Nicolas, CEO of Rising Tigers Magazine, and Andria Terese Nicolas, Chief Marketing Officer of Rising Tigers Magazine.

Elevating the anticipation, Nicolas disclosed that the Rising Tigers Cup would be held annually, with the next installment slated for March 1, 2024, at the Manila Golf and Country Club. Furthermore, she emphasized that the tournament signifies the start of a journey toward national development.

Highlighting this aspect, Nicolas said, “We as individuals play our role in this world for our people, our company, and ourselves. Rising Tigers believes that this tournament will be the start of nation-building.”
