In an effort to resume its international operations amidst the surging pandemic, Cebu Pacific recently announced its plans to mount international flights to key Asian cities.
The airline is now considering increasing its flights to Singapore from two times a week to three times a week, which will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Singapore to Manila, on the other hand, will be every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
It will also begin offering special commercial flights from Manila to Dubai every Wednesday as a response to the government’s appeal for help in repatriating Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) in the Middle East. This is especially crucial as the travel ban is maintained.
Beginning on August 16, flights to-and-from Seoul will also be more frequent from twice a week to thrice a week. Additionally, daily flights from Manila to Hong Kong will likewise be restarted on August 11.
Other international flights to be offered include trips to Nagoya, Osaka, and Taipei.
“We remain cautiously optimistic as we gradually rebuild our international network,” said Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience Candice Iyog.
“We recognize the need for non-leisure travel to these routes and we prioritize safety as we restore trust and confidence in air travel,” Iyog added.
Cebu Pacific assures its passengers that it remains compliant with the travel regulations implemented by the governments of the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan.
Global best practices and the highest safety standards are always observed during its international flight. Its aircraft fleet also comes with the necessary gear like HEPA air filters to mitigate the spread of the virus in flight.
