Fuel Prices Set to Rise Over ₱2 per Liter

Motorists will face increased fuel costs this week as Chevron (Caltex), Seaoil, and Shell announced significant price hikes starting Tuesday, October 15. Prices will go up by ₱2.65 per liter for gasoline, ₱2.70 for diesel, and ₱2.60 for kerosene. Cleanfuel will also implement similar increases for gasoline and diesel, excluding kerosene.

The adjustments, effective at 6 a.m. for most firms and 4:01 p.m. for Cleanfuel, mark the fourth consecutive weekly increase for diesel and the third for kerosene. According to the Department of Energy, these hikes align with global concerns over supply disruptions, production cuts, and refinery issues.

So far this year, gasoline prices have risen by ₱6.05 per liter, while diesel has increased by ₱4.05 per liter. Kerosene, however, has seen a net decrease of ₱5.35 per liter.
