Fuel Prices to Rise Again April 1: Gasoline Up by ₱1.40, Diesel and Kerosene by ₱1.20

Motorists will face another round of fuel price hikes starting Tuesday, April 1, 2025, as oil companies announced significant increases across fuel types for the second consecutive week.

In separate advisories, major players including Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell said they will raise prices by ₱1.40 per liter for gasoline and ₱1.20 per liter for both diesel and kerosene. Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will also implement the same adjustments, excluding kerosene which they do not sell.

The new prices will take effect at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, except for Cleanfuel, which will apply changes at 4:01 p.m.

The Department of Energy (DOE) had earlier warned of a sizable hike this week, citing factors such as U.S. sanctions on Iran, potential tariffs on buyers of Venezuelan oil, and ongoing attacks on energy infrastructure amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Last week, pump prices increased by ₱1.10 per liter for gasoline and ₱0.40 for diesel and kerosene. Year-to-date, fuel prices have seen a net increase of ₱3.25 per liter for gasoline and diesel, while kerosene has dropped by ₱0.30.
