GCash, Angkas Partner for Seamless In-App Payment

Angkas, the motorcycle taxi service, has partnered with GCash to integrate the mobile wallet as a direct payment option for its users. The collaboration aims to offer “easier, more convenient, and more secure cashless transactions,” according to GCash’s announcement on Wednesday.

Angkas users can now link their GCash wallets directly within the app by selecting “Cash” as their payment method, followed by the “Link your GCash” option. After entering their mobile number, one-time PIN (OTP), and MPIN, the GCash wallet will be successfully linked for future rides.

GCash President and CEO Ren-Ren Reyes emphasized the strengthened partnership between the two companies, especially during the pandemic, while Angkas CEO George Royeca praised the collaboration as a “dream” between homegrown Filipino businesses.
