Globe Activates 235 New 5G Sites in Q1 2025, Powered by Expanding AI Integration

Globe Telecom has ramped up its digital infrastructure with the activation of 235 new 5G sites across the Philippines in the first quarter of 2025, supported by a robust integration of Artificial Intelligence.

With over 9.5 million devices now connected, Globe highlighted that AI has become a central force in its network expansion—powering live operational dashboards, prioritizing infrastructure builds, and enabling predictive maintenance to enhance efficiency.

“AI isn’t just about automation—it’s about meaningful impact,” said Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz. “It helps us make faster, smarter, and more empathetic decisions across our organization.”

In Human Resources, AI has completely modernized the hiring process. The use of HireVue—an AI-driven video and skills assessment platform—replaced manual screenings, halving processing times and accelerating hiring across all departments. This shift earned Globe the 2025 Impact Star Award at the HireVue Customer Excellence Awards.

AI also enhances risk management through real-time dashboards, automated insight generation, and data visualizations that strengthen strategy alignment and mitigate human bias in analysis.

On the technical side, Globe’s Network Group now uses AI for coding, forecasting, diagnostics, and power-saving via the EdgeWise platform, which optimizes energy use by pausing low-traffic transceivers.

In Marketing, AI tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, Canva Magic Studio, and NotebookLM streamline content creation, knowledge sharing, and workflow execution—supporting fast, inclusive, and high-impact communication.
